SESSION OVERVIEW:

Welcome to 2025 Summer Swim at the JEA! 

Here are the key things to note when registering:

* Registration is for a "Session" of classes (unless noted otherwise)

* Your class will meet on the same day, at the same time, for the session.

* No lessons will be held on the following days: Monday, June 2 in observance of Shavuot

* Registration is per session.

* Swim School Session 1: June 1st - 30th - For swimmers learning water safety and basic skills. 

* Swim School Session 2: July 6th - August 1st- For swimmers learning water safety and basic skills.

* Jr Swim: June 17th - July 24th (6-week session) - Required Skill: Ability to swim the length of the pool.

*Private Lessons: One-on-one instruction for all ages and skill levels to build confidence, improve technique, and achieve individual goals.

 Swim Ability Levels Chart:

Babies 6-15 months- Intro to water safety, reduce fear and potential of tears. Parents are in the water with swimmer.
Yellow - Swimmer can jump in, come up on their back and float for 5 seconds, but cannot move forward on the water for 10 feet or tread water for at least 10 seconds.
Toddlers 16-24 months - Swimmer learns independants and basic skills to include submerg, rollover and back float. Parent is in the water with swimmer.Blue - Swimmer can move through the water for 30 feet, change direction and swim back, but can not side breath.
White - Swimmer cannot submerge for 5 seconds.Green - Swimmer can tread water for at least 15 seconds, but cannot swim basic freestyle stroke with side breathing.
Red - Swimmer can submerge for 5 seconds, but cannot float front and back without support.Jr Swim - Required skill: Ability to swim the length of the pool. Swimmers build endurance and improve technique. Combined practice with ages 5-12

Active JEA members receive a 20% discount.

If registering as a member in error or member status is inactive on date of service, the credit card used for registration will be charged the remaining guest rate balance.

If the selected swim level is incorrect, both the level and schedule may be adjusted to reflect the appropriate swim ability.

Once step one is complete, the available schedule will appear below.

Policy and Waivers

- Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time. We do not extend lesson times for late arrivals.

- Please bring swim suit, towel (goggles optional), and swim diaper for all children not toilet trained.

- Guest swimmers are only allowed in the pool during instructional time. No pool time allowed before or after class.

- You are responsible for your children before and after the lesson.

- Children are required to follow the instructors directions during class. If your child acts in an unsafe manner they may be asked to leave the water for the duration of the lesson.

- There are no make-up classes if a class is missed by the student. If you will not be attending a class you may notify us at [email protected] as a courtesy.

- There are no refunds or credits. If the unfortunate situation arises where the JEA needs to cancel classes for any reason, we will reserve a Friday during the sessions as a make-up day. The swim lesson coordinator will contact you with the make-up date.


I, the undersigned, as parent and/or legal guardian of the child identified on this form, do hereby give the Jewish Educational Alliance, Inc. permission to use names, photographs and videos of my camper. Photographs and videos may be used for promotional, fundraising, and educational purposes and programs to promote current and future JEA programming. I hereby release the Jewish Educational Alliance, Inc., and all of its employees, trustees, officers, directors, volunteers, students, agents and assigns from any and all liability and financial obligations related to the use of any photography or videos of me or my dependents.

If employee discount is applied in error or employee status is inactive on date of service, the credit card used for registration will be charged the remaining balance.
